Red silicone rubber sheeting (SI) is a durable and versatile elastomer composed of silicon, carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. It maintains flexibility across a broad temperature range and demonstrates excellent resistance to weathering, UV light, and ozone. Though functionally similar to white silicone, this variant is preferred in applications where color identification is critical.
Red silicone is an inert material that exhibits excellent electrical insulation and release properties. It is commonly used in industrial, automotive, and food-grade sealing where visibility and performance in extreme environments are required. It is not recommended for use with acids, ketones, or petrochemicals and does not resist abrasion well.
