White silicone rubber sheeting (SI) is a high-performance elastomer manufactured from a synthetic blend of silicon, carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. It offers exceptional flexibility across a wide temperature range and displays excellent resistance to weathering, ozone, and ultraviolet light. This grade is biocompatible, inert, and compliant with food contact regulations, making it ideal for use in hygienic applications such as food, beverage, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
White silicone also possesses good electrical insulation properties and excellent release characteristics. However, it is not suitable for use with acids, ketones, petrochemicals, or abrasive applications due to its poor resistance to these substances.
