Rubber

Rubber

We are leading suppliers of all types of rubber and carry large stocks.

We can convert into strip, pads, cut pieces, gaskets and sleeves.

Natural / SBR (Commercial Quality) -

Hardness: 70° Shore

Colour: Black

Temperature Range: -50°C - +85°C

Typically used when a cheaper alternative will be suitable and can be used in simpler applications e.g. Packing & protection strips/pads or where material isn't coming under any constraint. Available in a smooth finish (plate) and also in Cloth finish. Can be supplied plain or with a self-adhesive backing. Roll / sheet size will vary depending on the thickness.

Neoprene (Chloroprene) -

Hardness: 70° Shore

Colour: Black / White (Food Qualiy - See below for more information)

Temperature Range: -20°C - +90°C

Offers a high quality resistance to ageing and weathering (suitable for outdoor use). Can provide limited resistance to animal/vegetable oil but is not suitable enough for use with aromatic hydrocarbons and ketones. Can be suuplied plain or with a self-adhesive backing. Roll / sheet size will vary depending on thickness. Also available in a flame retardant grade.

Insertion -

Hardness: 65° Shore

Colour: Black

Temperature Range: -20°C - +70°C

Made from a mix blend of Natural & SBR with a single ply reinforcement, this helping to hinder stretching and providing extra strength & tear resistance compared to other commercial grades. Can be supplied plain or with a self-adhesive backing. Roll / sheet size will vary depedning on thickness. Also avaialble in Neoprene & Nitrile grade.

Nitrile -

Hardness: 70° Shore

Colour: Black

Temperature Range: -30°C - +80°C

Also known as NBR rubber, it is used in many different applications for its resistance to the majority petroleum-based fluids, oils and greases. Nitrile / NBR rubber offers some mechanical properties and has adequate resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons but its not acceptable for use with Ketones. Can be supplied plain and with self-adhesie backing. Roll / sheet size will vary depending on thickness. Also available in WFQ, Blue and Blue metal detectable.

Natural Food Quality Rubber -

Hardness: 50° Shore

Colour: White

Temperature Range: -45°C - +85°C

Has excellent tensile strength, elongation at break and abrasion resistance compared to other grades of standard synthetic rubber. Widely used in the food and pharmaceutical industry. Can be supplied plain and with self-adhesive backing. Roll / sheet size will vary depending on thickness.

Neoprene Food Quality Rubber -

Hardness: 65° Shore

Colour: White

Temperature Range: -30°C - +130°C

Has the same properties as the standard grade of Neoprene Rubber but also offers properties that conform to the latest EC and FDA food approval reguations. It is a popular choice in the food manufacturing industry due to the rubbers moderate resistance to fats, greases and vegetable oils, as well as reistance to ozone, weathering and ageing. Can be supplied plain and with self-adhesive backing. Roll / sheet size will vary depending on thickness.

Nitrile Food Quality Rubber -

Hardness: 60° Shore

Colour: White

Temperature Range: -25°C - +120°C

Has moderate mechanical properties and has excellent reistance to greases, fish oils, vegetable oils and animal fats, this making it a favourable choice in the food and pharmaceutical applications. Can be supplied plain and with self-adhesive backing. Roll / sheet size will vary depending on thickness.

Silicone -

Hardness: 40°, 50°, 60°, 70°

Colour: White, Red, Blue & Translucent

Temperature Range: -60°C - +230°C

Made up from silicon, carbon, oxygen and hydrogen. Offers outstanding reistance to temperatures low and high. Can be used as an eletrical insulator, works very well when openly exposed to the ozone, ultra-violet and weathering. Is not suitable for use with petrochemicals, acids and ketones. Widely a popular choice for the food, drink and pharmaceutical industry as it conforms to the FDA food contact regulations. Can be supplied plain and wih self-adhesive backing. Roll / sheet size will vary depending on thickness.

Viton -

Hardness: 75° Shore

Colour: Black

Temperature Range: -20°C - +275°C

High performing rubber that has outstanding resistance to many acids, chlorinated hydrocarbons and fuels. It is widely used in application where it may come into contact with high temperatures due to its resistance. Not best suitable for application with ketones (e.g. acetone and organic acids).
